Dermafix Microneedling

What is Dermafix Microneedling?

Microneedling Pen’s use sterile needles to create microchannels in the surface of the skin which allows powerful skin rejuvenation products to penetrate the skin further while also stimulating the production of collagen.

The Dermafix microneedling pen can create over half a million microchannels during a 5-10 minute treatment, penetrating deeper through the epidermis.

This encourages the absorption of active ingredients making it far easier for them to pass through the upper layer to cells deeper in the skin than a simple surface application with no needling would.

Will I see a difference straight away?

As soon as the deepest layers of your skin are penetrated by the needles, “micro-wounds” are created. This triggers your body's wound healing processes to heal your micro wounds immediately.

However, the most dramatic results will not be visible until four to six weeks after treatment.

How long should I go between treatments?

Microneedling treatment can be safely done about once a month or every 4 to 6 weeks.

It is important to realize that microneedling is not a quick fix, as it involves the growth of new skin.

It can take several months for a person to see the full results of the procedure, as the skin heals itself.

Can’t I just get the same effects with a home Dermaroller?

Devices for home use have shorter, more blunt needles than those designed for dermatologists and other medical professionals and only a professional can get access to the top medical serums.

Home devices are not meant to penetrate the skin, which means that home treatments will not be as uncomfortable as professional versions. This also means that a home treatment will have a limited response and results.

However, even home devices will increase blood flow, which may temporarily brighten the skin.

Finally, these devices are more difficult to clean, and not thoroughly cleaning a microneedling device can increase the risk of infection or injury, especially if the needles penetrate the skin.

Does it hurt?

It may be uncomfortable, but pain is minimal.

Is it just for your face?

Most people get microneedling on the face, but it can also done on other parts of the body, such as your stomach or thighs.

How long does it take?

It takes up to 45 minutes.

LED light therapy and masks can also be added on for maximum results.
