Lymphatic Drainage Massage
What is a Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
Lymphatic Drainage Massage is superficial pressure massage technique, that helps to relieve inflammation related to Lymphedema, by moving the fluid lymph through your lymphatic system which is a filter for your body that houses wastes, toxins, and mutant cells that leave the blood stream.
Applying light pressure to certain areas of the body that have a high concentration of lymph nodes, such as the auxiliary and inguinal regions. The lymph nodes drain the excess fluid waste products and are released from the body with increased urination.
What is Lymphedema?
Lymphedema is characterised by swelling in the legs, arms and other parts of the body and is a common side effect of many health conditions.
Why is moving the lymph important to our body?
The lymphatic system plays a huge role in delivering nutrients to the tissues and removing waste products.
The lymph nodes hold the toxins that are pulled from other areas of the body. If these nodes have become full, the storage tanks are closed, causing swelling.
When this happens the cells begin to look for other ways to store toxins and create their own “waste” cells. These are referred to as mutant cells. like cancer, auto immune problems, etc.
What are the benefits of a Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
Lymphatic drainage helps increase lymph flow, detoxifying the body, boosting the immune function, aiding digestion, making you feel Why do we need to manually move the lymph system?
This system does not have a pump like the circulatory system but when we encourage it to move, it gets filtered through the body and out, taking with it harmful toxins.
What do you feel after the lymphatic drainage?
Generally, your limbs feel light, you are more relaxed, muscle tension eases, you see a reduction in the appearance of cellulite, and feel more energetic. Some people may feel light headed, but this usually passes quickly.
After working any part of the body, especially the internal organs, the client will experience either an increase in urination or notice a different colour to the urine or perhaps a stronger odour.

2. Second week: 3 sessions
3. Third week: 2 sessions
4. Fourth week: 2 sessions
