How long do fillers last?
Croma - Lasts 6-9 Months
Teoxanne RHA 2 is softer, giving a more natural result and lasts 6-12 months
Ultra 3 and Texane RHA 3 have the same consistency - medium in thickness and about 9-12 months.
Teoxane Kiss is just very slightly thicker than the RHA3 but comes in 0.7ml and lasts 9-15 months.
Juvederm Vycross (Voluma and Volift) most expensive as can last between 18 -24months.
Voluma is thicker, Volift is softer more natural
We recommend 15mls- 2mls of soft filler (Defyne/Refyne/Volift/RHA2) for those who wants volume or big lips but have "loose / wrinkly" tissue as using thick fillers in those types of lips will be prone to lumps.
Does it hurt?
You will be numbed prior to the lip fillers, however it can cause discomfort, especially if it is done during the time of your period, or if you smoke, as smoking can affect the numbing cream
How do I know how much to have?
We recommend 1ml. A lot of people are too scared about how they will look and opt for 0.5, but once the swelling goes down, they are often disappointed and end up spending double.
0.5 is an extremely small amount and barely visible. 1ml is a soft, naturally enhanced look.
I’ve had them done elsewhere and I don’t like them. Can you help?
Luckily our nurse specialises in complications and has 13 years of experience and attends master classes in Harley Street.
Not only is she trained in a variety of methods, including canular for a soft natural look and the Russian lip technique for a more dramatic look.
She has plenty of experience dissolving migration and other complications that may have occurred from other injectors.
Will I bruise?
You are likely to bruise, especially if it is your first time, but this can be dramatically reduced if you take Arnica tablets, 5 days prior. These can be purchased from boots, llyods pharmacy, Superdrug, Holland and Barrett or superstores.
Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E or any other essential fatty acids at least 3 days to 1 week after treatment.
These items may increase bleeding and bruising.
